I feel like I make a lot of trips to the grocery store, but for some reason or other I never seem to have any food in the house. Today for example, I had a craving for a baked potato. Of course I didn't have any potatoes, so I had to go buy one.
Since I was at the store anyway, you might think it would have been a good time to stock up on some staples. I'm pretty sure other people buy things like bread, eggs, milk... actually, you know what? I'm not even sure what other people buy.
What I do know is that when I came out of the store, I had purchased two potatoes, a Pad Thai lunch kit, a bottle of Mexican Coke (made with cane sugar), and last but not least a small bag of Maltesers because I'd heard them mentioned on a Ricky Gervais podcast.
Hmm, not really the makings of a well balanced meal. But I guess it sheds some light on the question of why I never seem to have any food in the house.

i assume they taste the same as whoppers? yum! except when you hit one that's dried out in the middle. a tiny, chocolate ball of disappointment.
Ah yes, I can relate to the tiny, chocolate ball of disappointment experience.
Personally, I think they tasted better than Whoppers. The chocolate coating was softer and overall, they weren't as sweet.
You can get them at Woodman's in the ethnic food isle--which is apparently where I buy most of my groceries.
What do others buy? My grocery list last night was microwaveable corn dogs, muenster cheese, a half gallon of 2% milk, srichacha hot sauce, and a box of Ferrara Pan's Boston Baked Beans.... (oh and a bag of lettuce).
I think I need a professional meal planner...
