To say that it's snowing here would be a monumental understatement.
All of the schools in this part of the state, and nearby Illinois were closed today and Janesville has already called off classes for tomorrow as well. There have been official reports saying that Janesville has had 49 mph winds throughout the day with gusts up to 60 mph. Which when added to the snow that's been falling since last night has produced near whiteout conditions. Predictions say that by the end of it all 18–20" of snow will have fallen on our fair city.
I've been out in the mess three times today trying to keep the driveway and sidewalks cleared. And although my muscles are aching from the strain of it all, looking outside my efforts haven't seemed to make much of a difference.
In spite of the weather reports and my aching back, I didn't realize how bad the weather really was until I read the following message on a local news website: Walmart in Janesville, closed.
A sure sign of the Apocalypse!

If all this snow meant that WalMart lost out on one single day of business in Janesville, I'll take it. It totally makes up for the 4 hours I spent shoveling snow in the last 24 hours.
