OMG, I had to post this! I know it sounds like an urban legend, but it's totally true! This car belongs to a woman that my friend used to work with and the photo was not staged. The woman lives out of town and drives some distance to work each day. On the morning that this photo was taken she must have hit a rabbit which then became lodged in the front end of her car.
She said she didn't realize there was a problem until she made it into town and pulled up to an intersection where a group of kids was waiting to cross on their way to school. Apparently, the look of utter horror on their faces spoke to the fact that something was amiss. I actually heard the woman telling the story at my friend's retirement party and it cracked me up!
The photo came to me today in a forwarded email message with this note:
Hi Jenny,
This subject came up again yesterday down here in the Coding Dept….and we all had a good laugh about it once again. It reminded me that I had told you at your mom's retirement party ( I miss her ) that I would send it, and you could pass it along to Donna. So here it is…thought's of the Easter Bunny will never be the same!!
