I saw the movie Cloverfield this past weekend.
In spite of the fact that it was filmed in VomitVision™ with a NauseaCam™, the film was awesome!
According to the story, New York was attacked by a giant Godzilla-type monster. The only footage available (aka: the entire movie) was shot by one of the panicked characters using a handheld video camera, which was only found after the incident. This explains the jerkiness of the camera movement. Although I think the handheld effect could have been realized without making everyone in the audience throw up. Put another way, the director would have been quite a bit less jerky if he'd made the camerawork even slightly less so.
At this point I should admit that I exaggerated a little in the last paragraph. Not everyone in the theatre threw up. For example, I didn't throw up and really only six or seven of the people around me did throw up.
Overall I recommend that you go see this movie! I also recommend that you sit towards the back of the theatre and maybe take some Dramamine® beforehand. Additionally it occurs to me that someone with an entrepenural spirit could make some quick cash selling Dramamine® outside the theatre... or better yet, air-sickness bags.
