8 oz. of prevention and a shot of cure

I heard somewhere that quinine is a natural cure for muscle cramps—although maybe I read it somewhere, or possibly dreamt it while passed out on the bathroom floor.

At any rate, I also heard (read or dreamt) that tonic water is an excellent source of quinine. I had tonic water in the house, and since unlike some other home remedies it didn’t require crushing, boiling or inserting anything, I figured I might as well give it a try.

I was very impressed with the results! Within a couple hours my shoulder cramps were completely gone. In fact my entire body relaxed. I was so pleased with quinine as a natural cure that I plan to try it again tonight.

I would have continued the theraputic dosing last night, but I ran out of gin.

You know - alcohol causes dehydration and dehydration causes muscle cramps. I think you may be in a viciuos circle here...
