Lady Luck?

Wow. I have really bad luck. I mean really, really, really bad luck.

If you know me at all, you've no doubt witnessed examples. Well, let me tell you, I've hit an especially rich vein of it lately!

Need proof? Take a look:
1. The night before I left for my trip, part of a Duraflame log fell out of my fireplace and melted a chunk of carpet. Big mess. Not good.

2. My new iPod died half an hour into my long trip home. It hasn't exhibited any signs of life since.

3. When I got home, I moved my suitcase onto a chair in the living room, and knocked over a candle that had been sitting on one of those warmer things. This small act managed to distribute melted wax onto the painted wall, the wood trim and of course, the carpet.

And just to prove that bad things don't just come in threes, I present number four.

4. My car, which seemed fine last week, is extremely NOT fine now. I could hardly get it to go over 20 miles an hour this morning, and even then, the engine stalled three times. I barely made it to the dealership, where I left it, and had to walk the rest of the way to work.

I picked up a brochure on the way out of the dealership. I have a feeling it might be time to get a new car.

And yeah, I do mean NEW. With luck like mine, I'm going to need a warranty.
