Eeek!
I just looked at a calendar and Christmas it seems, is this Sunday! But how can that be? There MUST be a mistake, because I don't have any presents yet! Not to mention the fact that I've invited a bunch of people over for an open house on Christmas Eve. An event which involves a host of cleaning, decorating and shopping activities that should at least be underway, if not completely finished by now -- and I'm here to tell you that none of it has been started!
Again I say Eeek!
So you might tell me not to worry, since I have five days before my guests will be arriving. Yeah, except that they're all weekdays, and I work during the day. Plus, I have bowling tonight, and Thursday night I'm having dinner with some out-of-state friends that will be in the area. So that leaves me with Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday to buy like seven gifts, clean the house, fold about three weeks worth of laundry, grocery shop and prepare food for the open house.
Not exactly a piece of cake. In fact, it's more like an arm broken off a precut gingerbread man purchased at the U-Bake-It shop, since appendages may be all they have left this close to Christmas.
Eeek!

Sounds oddly familiar to last Christmas, eh?
Christmas is going to suck this year and it's all your fault. You better get moving or I swear to God I'll make sure every holiday you have from this point forward (even freakin' Arbor Day) will be completely miserable.
Cheers! Merry Christmas!
If it makes you feel better, you don't have to buy me a gift. Or wait; we don't do gifts! Ha!
