Under the weather?

Here's an online catalog listing for the same wireless temperature gauge thingy I have in my kitchen:

Here's a picture showing the temperature readings mine was displaying before I went to bed last night:

When I first looked at it, I did a double-take because the bottom number didn't seem to make sense. Until I realized that 0.5° was another way of saying -5°. As in 5° below zero!

Although I guess I shouldn't complain, after all, at least it wasn't cloudy.

My car reported -27 this morning. It hurt to breath, blink and hear. It hurt to listen to stuff, Donna.

Yikes! -27 is crazy!!! But at least you have a lot of jackets to keep you warm ;-)

My trusty weather station stopped displaying when it reached -11. Right now it's showing two dashed lines. I think the remote monitor needs AA batteries that are rated for arctic conditions... if they even make such a thing.
