How to get free glasses... and a considerable pain in the butt

Step 1: Bring your glasses in to the optometrist office for a minor adjustment.

Step 2: Wait while a lady at the office bends, twists and possibly stands on your glasses until they break into two pieces.

Step 3: Take note while the lady (who's apparently unaware of her own strength) tells you she's placed an order for new frames which will arrive on Thursday.

Step 4: Wait until Thursday and listen to a message left on your home answering machine telling you that the frames have arrived and will be available for pickup on Friday.

Step 5: Go to the optometrist office on Friday and listen while a different lady tells you that there's no one there to put the lenses from your broken glasses into the new frames.

Step 6: When Monday comes, make yet another trip to the optometrist office and pick up your "free" glasses.
