Announcing an announcement?

Today, like many other days, I received an email from amazon.com. I have to say that I've deleted more email from amazon.com than I've read. But the subject line of this particular message read "Oprah Announces Favorite New Gadget."

So of course I opened it! Because, well duh, I wanted to find out about Oprah's favorite new gadget!

Unfortunately, after following a number of personalized "ama-links," all I found was a video clip of Oprah saying she was going to announce her favorite new gadget on Friday. And that much I already knew.

However, as I scrolled to the bottom of the "ama-page," I came across something that I didn't know. Granted I'm not sure that I especially needed this information. But now that I have it, I feel obliged to share. So here you go:
