Generally, seeing a news van parked down the street from your house is a bad sign. Having a lot of news vans parked down the street from your house is almost certainly a bad sign. With all the media in the area this morning, I thought Britney Spears must have been going through the Dunkin' Donuts drive-thru!
Turns out the news vans, a slew of reporters and the Governor of the great state of Wisconsin, were all down the street for a press conference at the UAW union hall. The press conference was given in response to the early-morning announcement that GM would in fact be closing the Janesville assembly plant in 2010 or sooner.
If I had to bet, I'd probably go with sooner.
