I'm wondering how common Spyware problems are on the Mac.
My system seems to have picked up a virus of some sort. The major symptom of the virus occurs while I'm reading my email. After I open a message from my inbox, the screen switches over to some X-rated "click here to enter" site. I think things are running slower too, but that's not as big of a deal.
Have any of you Mac people had a problem like this? If so, how did you fix it?
I have a MacBook, with OS X (version 10.4.11).

I haven't had a problem like this on my mac, but it doesn't sound fun at all.
Perhaps you could switch to another email reading program and see if that works (thunderbird). Or buy a spyware cleaning program or something.
