At the tone, the time will be...?

Nothing like the time change to add an element of confusion and chaos to life. I know, I know Spring forward, Fall back--it's not exactly rocket science. But making sure all your clocks are in agreement can be a time-consuming (ha!) process .

You see, I have a lot of clocks. To date I haven't been able to muster the energy or (more likely) the interest required to change them all. Thus, based on the shear number of clocks and past experience, it seems inevitable that at least a few of them will remain in "Spring" mode in spite of the fact that the changing leaves and cold weather outside are screaming "Fall."

Part of the problem stems from the fact that some clocks change themselves. Not in a cool "Transformers" sort of way, but they do reset themselves twice a year to the "new" correct time. How come all clocks don't do that? That would be a better way to handle this whole mess.

As it is, when I look around the room I'm sitting in I have a view of three clocks (not counting the clock on my computer) and none of them displays the same time. The clock on the television claims it's 9:44 pm, the Bose radio says it's 9:42 pm, and clock on the DVD player says it's 8:48 pm. The clock on my computer says it's 8:46 pm, but for reasons that I don't fully understand or care to go into, it also says today is Tuesday, which it clearly isn't.

I'm not even going to broach the topic of the non-agreement of the clocks in the other areas of my life, or the sensation I feel as I pass through the apparent rift in the time-space continuum that appears to exist between my car and any given place to which I'm trying not to arrive late.

That would take WAY too much time. Besides, I have to get up early tomorrow and it's getting late.

At least I think it is...

Maybe it has something to do with numbers. Quick, what's the price of a stamp?

No clue. But really, how can anyone put a price on "forever?"

The perfect solution....... Move to a country where there is no day light savings. Besides, does it really save day light? Maybe for the summer, but it's day light here until 7pm all year round. Not 4 pm, like WI winters. Come visit!!
