I spent most of the afternoon digging dandelions out of my yard. This is in sharp contrast to my neighbors, who appear to be planting dandelions and raising them as a cash crop. Okay, maybe the dandelion farm scenario is a slight exaggeration, but if population density is a factor, I’m pretty sure they could qualify as a national dandelion preserve at this point.
Of course one of the lovable characteristics of dandelions is their sharing nature. One “flower” can produce upwards of twenty seeds. That said, I suppose my yard will be springing to life with the offspring of my neighbor’s dandelions soon enough.
I guess I’ll keep the shovel out.
