Oh my God, my life sucks! I brought my car into the shop because the engine light was on. I left it there the night before, and hitched a ride to work with a friend.
Tim, from the shop, called around 9:30am to report the following problems:
Warm-up catalyst thingy (something to do with the O2 sensor)
Part: $202.00
Labor: $145.00
Cracked CV Axles
$500.00
60,000 Maintenance (without timing belt)
$300.00
Grand Total:
$1,131.00
Hey, great news! I told them to fix the catalyst thing now, and that I'd get the rest done after I harvested the fruit from the friggin money tree that everyone must think I have. Jeez! Okay, I didn't actually say that. But seriously, it's a lot of money.
Especially after the wedding I just attended in Michigan! The major expenses for which were:
Hotel for three nights:
$280.00
Gift:
$100.00
I won't even mention the roof that I had put on while I was at the wedding, because it was parentally funded.
So lets move on (back?) to yesterday. By 10:30am I received some very disappointing news about an opportunity that I was hoping would work out -- apparently, it won't.
But it gets even better! Did I mention that I had a dentist appointment scheduled yesterday? Yeah. After dropping $347.00 some dollars at the car shop, I had to rush on over to my very favorite place in the world. The dentist. And guess what? It turns out I have a cavity. More great news.
The dentist assured me that it would only cost me about $40.00 dollars to fill.
Sister, that's the least of my problems. Anyway, if things get tight, I can always plant another tree.
