I'm posting a short list of things that I feel would make my life better, along with a description of the internal battle I've experienced regarding these items during the last couple weeks.

First, the list:
A full size bed
A cheap ($20 or less) VCR
A patio umbrella

(Sounds like I'm assembling a p0rno lounge or something. Oh yeah, I don't plan on being single much longer baby!! Wa-chuka, wa-chucka, wa-wah.)

Now the battle:
I'm seriously thinking of ditching my queen-size bed and getting a full-size bed to save space. You see, my house is extremely small, and any extra room would help. Of course, I'd have to actually buy (as in pay for) a new bed. That's where the plan hits a wall. I mean heck, I already have a bed, it's just kind of big. Yeah, too big. A smaller bed would be better. But the cost -- plus, my existing bed matches my dressers and nightstand and I'm NOT buying all that stuff new . . . unless I could find furniture that fit into the room better. Of course I could find stuff that fit better, but I doubt I could afford stuff that fit better, anyway, what would I do with the stuff I have? It's perfectly good, and I have a bunch of other expenses coming up. But still, it would be nice to have a smaller bed . . .

I "need" an extra VCR for the den. I have a 19" TV and a loveseat in there now. The addition of a VCR would make it the perfect place for the nonstop Sponge Bob marathons, that my niece and nephew engage in while at my house. I'm just so darn cheap! I saw a new, 4-head VCR on clearance at Shopko for $39.00ish, but I didn't buy it. I mean jeez, I think I paid that for the one I bought 3 years ago! They should be paying me to take one off their hands by now -- right? Okay, maybe not. But it's twice what I'd like to pay -- so I'll wait. It's not a big emergency or anything.

I want a patio umbrella for the obvious reason. For the most part, my patio is in the shade. But it's too sunny to eat lunch out there. Right now Kmart has a bunch of umbrellas on clearance -- I don't really like the colors though. Still, it would be a lot cheaper to buy one now instead of waiting until next year. I mean color, smolor if it keeps the UV rays at bay, who cares what it looks like? Yeah, right. But still. . .

And around and around my brain goes. It's truly a wonder I get anything done! Is this procrastination or a sign of mental illness? You be the judge. I think I need help. . .
